Ah, this is MUCH better than your last attempt to make them sympathetic. It makes me want to read a lovingly detailed description of Robbie's death.
Cera still needs work. The video before her death ought to be icing on the cake, the "that's it I've had enough diediedie" moment.
Having them keep forgetting what's going on and their general apathy pretty much robs them of all sympathy.
